ohilly is back
A nurse told me a preventive mastectomy is a less invasive procedure than the one I had for the cancer. Whatever the reason, my pain and symptoms seem less which is good.
Just wanted to let you know how it went!

YIPPEEE for You!
Well Hooray!!! I am so happy things went well for you~ you really deserved it after all of the anxiety it all put you through. Forgive me, but I couldn't help but think that your urologist PRE-EMPTIED the possible urination problem! (GROAN)
So glad you sound so upbeat; happy healing to you, sweetie!
Hugs,

So glad everything went well. But then again I knew it would because you had all of us praying for you. Now take it easy and let the healing begin. And keep posting. Hugs, Lili0 -
Good stuff, glad it all went well for you. I know how anxious you were. Sometimes things can go right, right? Good luck to you with your healing, relax and look after yourself.

So happy for you!
Ohilly, so glad to hear that your surgery went well! That is great news indeed. I am also very glad to hear that the meds prevented the urinary problem that you had with your previous surgery. I have a friend who had the same problem after surgery last Fall and was very distressd because of it. Would you be willing to tell me the medication that they gave you this time? I would love to pass it along to my friend so that if she ever has a surgery in the future she could ask for the medication.
Again congrats on your good news! Eil0 -

Eileen, the name of the medication is Urecholine. It does something to help the muscles relax so you can urinate. If your friend ever has surgery in the future, I would recommend seeing a urologist before the surgery and getting a prescription pre-surgery for the medication.
I am recovering so much more quickly this time and almost no pain!
