Puzzle
That confuses me. Was she getting treatment from a cancer treatment facility? From an oncologist?
I think something is missing. Never heard of a doctor just stopping. There are so many different chemos.
Has she given up? I will pray that more information is forthcoming. I just don't know what to say. Saundra0 -

yes,she was seeing an oncologist at a treatment facility,He was the one that said the treatment was not working and he saw no reason to continue. She agreed if he says its not then no more. She let him know she did not want to have radiation,Because of what it did to my sister. After my moms diagnoses a yaer later my sister had uturan cancer and had done chemo and radiation, the results were not good.My sister ended up with a colostomy and a urostomy along with operations for the nxt couple of years that were really hard on her.But my sister is doing better and her cancer is in remission at least 2 years I think.I have been having to do what I can and try to encourage her to live her life.Instead of just in the house all the time.I have been trying to figure out how to locate support groups for her to go to so she can talk and be with people. But I am having a hard time trying to locate that kind of information on the internet.0 -

Well, you are doing the best you can. Just keep a positive attitude and a smile on your face. My mother did a similar thing at the age of 89 with end of life decisions. I thing she was just getting ready to meet her maker and spent a lot of time in prayer. Everyone is unique and different. I would just ask what I could do for her today. I tried to tell a funny story about a grandchild or someone she knew. Gradually she showed me things she had fun doing or enjoying or eating and I tried to include those. Eventually she would not even go for a drive to see the cotton crop or suck on a lemon candy. It is hard, I know. (((Hugs and prayers))) Saundra0
