Low Back Pain

Okay, I haven't come across this yet and have a question. Have any of you that had ovarian cysts had low back pain that went into your hips and down your thighs? I am finding that now I have this new thing and if I didn't know better I would think my spinal tumor was back. It has got so that standing is tough as well as sitting...driving..I have to put a roll of paper towels behind my lower back to sit without that ache. DId anyone here have this? I know that if I get sharp pains that will mean the cyst has burst and I need to go to the ER pronto. But has anyone had that dull achy feeling and did it worsen? I am holding out yet for the surgery schedule in about two weeks. Thanks, ladies! Hugs, Cindy

    Hi Cindy - I am about 8 1/2 months in remission from Stage IIIC OVCA and have been experiencing pain in my abdomen and lower back. When the doctor asks me to describe it, I tell her if I didn't know better I'd say I was ovulating or having really bad menstrual cramps. Is that how yours feels? I am having my first CT Scan done on Monday in over a year, my CA 125 is still good - but I am having all of these other issues that I don't think should be ignored. Have also had a cough for 9 weeks now so they are scanning my chest, abdomen and pelvis. I will be elated if it doesn't show something - but there must be a reason for the things that are happening and I don't want to ignore them. I'll be interested to see what others have to share.     Hip/ leg pain
    One of my first symptoms was pain in my hip. I kept complaining to my chiropractor that it was out of wack. It then started traveling down my leg. Apparently the Very large cyst I had was pressing on my hip and siatica.
    My sister spent months in pain even seeking out a bone Dr. because of the hip pain she experienced. She had a large non-cancerous tumor which had to be removed.

    A growth may be pressing on the area of pain causing your discomfort.
    Have you had an ultra sound of the area to see?

    Surgery to remove the growth was the only way either of us got relief.
