Six Years

My cancer survivorship has passed its sixth anniversary, and I'm glad to report that my CA-125 has dropped even more - this past Thursday it was down to 140, from a high of 284 earlier this year. The only drug I'm taking for it is tamoxifen, and the only side effects I've noticed are hot flashes and brittle fingernails (if that's a side effect).
What I didn't know when I was diagnosed were the symptoms, that September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month (I was diagnosed in September), and almost anything about OVCA. What a education I've had, and how many friends I've made on this trip, has been amazing. I'd like to express to all of you that I appreciate the help and camaraderie I've experienced here. This is another home for me, the first support I reached out to after my diagnosis.

Great News
Hi Sue,
Congratulations on your 6th year of surviorship. You are another great warrior. Good news to hear your CA-125 is going down.I have been on the board since March. I am a stage 111c and Monday I'm going for my 8th Chemo and last one I hope for awhile. My CA-125 is at 70. Before surgery I was at 13,999. I will pray that yours continue to climb down. Sending Hugs and Prayers your way.
