LUV, HUGS, PRAYERS
I'm sad to hear of Polly's passing. After the suffering we see and endure on this earth, death is the next most difficult event that we must face. I'm sure her family's loss is great. I know you've lost a friend, Bonnie. And those of us here will miss her support and caring through her posts. It's so tragic.
Some of you have reached what appears to be an impasse. I can only say to Bonnie and Paula, you are great warriors. You are an inspiration and strength to all of us. You're never-ending spirit of hope and support, no matter what you are going through, sustains us all. I hope we can continue to lift you up and support you with whatever you need.
I don't understand why this horrific disease has struck so many young women. I can only pray that they will find out quickly, so that we can demolish this ugly thing once and for all. JennaRose and Linda are so young, and I pray that their youth and stamina will help them to hit this head on. I hope we hear from them soon with some good news.
Shelly, the menopause symptoms get better. I was 45 1/2 when I had my hysterectomy. Yes, the hot flashes were sometimes unbearable and annoying. But, I believe my diet and activity have kept it at a minimum. And since none of us can take estrogen, we have to rely on other means to help us out. I sure wasn't told about all the other wonderful 'side affects' of menopause. But, I'm here and happy to be here, and dealing with it all as best as I can. So, hang in there.
Please. don't feel bad if I missed you. My heart goes out to all of you. Of course, as always, I'm praying for strength, hope, health and peace for everyone. And this month, I'm going to bug everyone I see to remind them to be watchful for symptoms, to be vigilant, to get tested whenever possible, to pass the word along, to stay strong and stay together on this until a cure is found. We desparately need better testing methods, earlier detection, and more treatment options. We're going to win this war AND the battle.
Luv and hugs to you all.
Monika

Thank you for your care and the courage and advice you have shared. You speak for many of us.
My husband wrote a letter to the local newspaper "Letters Section" to mention that September is our month of notice. So many are out of the loop.

Ya Saundra ~ I was thrilled to read about the letter. I send to 10 different papers in our out state area each year. Hopefully we can raise awareness for not only women but for the Drs that are seeing this women. We know early detection makes a huge difference.
How are you feeling after your last chemo treatment? Are you getting close to being done for chemo? Sending lots of hugs n prayers your way. Bonnie0 -

I took my 11th dose of low dose Taxol yesterday. One more to go on the 30th of this month so it hasn't hit yet. However the allergy is coming on so I am taking a double dose of Benedryl which slows me down. Just a red rash on face and trunk. Sending the H's & P's right back to you. Saundra0 -

I am doing fine and lucky.
I haven't been on for a while. I am in my 6th year with ovarian cancer. I had surgery six years ago and have been taken chemo off and on every since. My husband passed three years ago of lung cancer but he told me my strength will keep me going and it has. I take chemo until count goes down and then take a break. First break was 17 months. Second break one year. And now 3 or 4 month breaks. I have found after being alergic to carbo platnum if I take it at a 6 hour drip, very slow that I can take it and that is what I am doing now. MY cancer count was 14,000 and now is 6500. So once again the cancer cells are dying and the tumors shrinking. I have been taking it since May and will continue until my count is below 100. It has been dropping 1500 to 3000 each time. Why am I telling you all this? Because it can happen for you too. Don't give up. And if we have good friends and family and those who understand the positive attitude will make you stronger. When your down call or chat with someone. Other people help make our paths in life. My husband was a strong one for me. My email is sandell51@yahoo.com. Sometimes we don't understand the reason but those who pass will be in heaven guiding us. And someday we will all know the answers. When I am tired ( And God knows that has been often) I write letters do lists and call my sons. I have two and they look to me for strength, they are in their twenties. I am so sorry about the passing of your dear friend, Polly. God took another angel to help him. As I look at it about my husband he is still with me and they are guiding our paths and they no longer have pain or suffering. Some of us need to stay behind to help with others and the angels help us. May God Bless All of You and may my case help others whether I live one year or 30 years.

LUV, HUGS, PRAYERS
Dear Sandy:
I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. And I thank you so much for sharing your truly inspiring journey. I know your words will give encouragement to many. Yes, I have been tired, too, as I'm sure many of us have. And those are the times, as you, I focus my attention elsewhere as much as possible, and rely on family, faith and friends to work through the tough times. I've also lost many to this horrible disease - my mother, my sister-in-law, two uncles, and numerous friends. I pray that cancer will be erradicated in our lifetime. If not, I know that God is finding purpose for all of us - to inspire others, share strength, support, and more. The suffering we endure on this earth is an unfortunate consequence of living in this fleshly body. But I am grateful that my loved ones are no longer suffering, and they leave behind a legacy that is still witnessed and felt today.
You are a true warrior, just as Bonnie, Joanne, Saundra and all the others who continue to persevere and be our inspiration.
Luv and hugs and prayers to you for continued strength!

Thank You Monica for you reponse. Yes we all have lost and suffered and maybe thats what makes us stronger. I had a cancer walk in June. I really love seeing the supporters. We light candles at the end of the night for all those we know of cancer and those who have passed. There will be a cure. And I hope my case whether I am here or not helps that. Hope all of you can keep the strength.
God Bless and My Prayers are with you
