I am not sure how many of you knew Polly? We met about 1 1/2 years ago, after we found out we were both in MN and didn't live all that far apart. Anyway, she passed away August 19th, I got an email from her husband Jerry on the 20th. She told him to email me and let me know she'll be praying for me from heaven now. ;-( I cried many tears for the loss of this amazing women and felt so bad that I couldn't attend the services for her. However they were having a party at the hope lodge and having a luminary walk so I made her a luminary and also made a luminary for all ovarian cancer sisters. This journey is the hardest as we continue to lose women way to young all because of late diagnosis.
Just wanted to let you all know we have another ovarian cancer angel watching over us all.
Also this is a reminder to all that we need to educate others on the signs and symptoms, write your local newspaper. Most of the papers have opinions or letters to editors, let them know September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.
Much love and many prayers for all. BonnieRose

wow
I am so sad to hear this news. I went back through the posts and see the last time she wrote on the board was in July - that is crazy. A month from asking about a new drug to not being with us any longer. God I hate this disease!!!
Thanks so much for letting us know Bonnie and for reminding us to get out there and tell people about ovarian cancer. I have annual training on September 9th and I am going to contact the people putting it on this year to see if I can speak for even a few moments about the symptoms. Last year I wasn't able to attend as I was preparing for my first round of chemo - so it's going to be emotional any way. Might as well let it all out at once.
You and all of the other women on this site continue to give me strength. I know we grieve each set back and cheer each other on whether we post a comment or not.
Take good care and I hope you hear good news soon.
