I don't post often but I read what's up with everyone else.
Recap: I was dx 9/04 - stage 4. I had a colon resection and my lower left lung removed. 6 months of Folfox. Recurrence in the liver 10/05, liver resection. At this time they inserted a HAI pump so I had systemtic chemo every other 2 weeks and the pump filled on the other 2 weeks. Pump became infected; therefore, removed. No chemo because of infection. Another recurrence in the liver 10/06. I had chemoembolization, a RFA, and chemoembolization done on my liver. All clear until 10/07, lower left lung showed lesion. I had a lung RFA. Scans were all clear in April 2008 and I just had another set of scans and all clear except for a very small focus near the rectum. I met with my onc and he's not too concerned. I'm due for my colonscopy and that will definitely confirm if there's anything going on in that area. So for right now I'm good and feeling great.
For all of you going through chemo, surgeries, or any other procedures, hang in there and stay positive. Life after chemo does exist.
I hope someone of you plan to attend the Colon Palooza 6 in SF. It was my first one last year and it was a blast.

Yippee!
Debbie,
Thanks for sharing your fabulous news. You are an inspiration to me, being a stage 4 girl.
I am curious if CEA is a marker for you. Did it get elevated as the new spots showed up in the liver or lungs?
See you in SF.

Jennifer,
My CEA is not a marker for me. I look forward to meeting you in SF.
