I just completed my 6th treatment, have 6 more to go. I have bloodwork every 2 weeks on the first treatment day right before treatment starts. They have held my treatments for 1 week twice now due to anemia and weight loss and hand/foot syndrome and decreased it when i went in a week later for treatment but this one seems to be the worst yet. I was supposed to go for blodd work today but I thought I was feeling better but as the day has progressed I am weaker and weaker. i feel like i can barely hold my arms up to type this so I guess I will go back in tomorrow and get blood work done. I went out of the house this morning for the first time and went for some groceries and maybe thats what did it but all I know is I have to go back to bed now as I cant sit here anymore. Hugs to all my friends out there and please everyone else hanng in there.
Deb

Deb, sorry to hear that your having such a rough time of it. Definately let your ONC know how your feeling. Maybe a dosage adjustment can be done? Get that bloodwork done and hopefully they can get you feeling better. Keep us posted. God Bless (and rest)

Deb, I'm sorry to hear that you are so sick; this disease sucks, and the treatment is so harsh. I had a terrible time with my potassium levels during chemo, which led to such fatigue and muscle weakness, I felt tired just thinking of moving. A couple of times I needed IV potassium in addition to pills. Be sure your team knows the extent of your symptoms and how hard it is for you to tolerate them.
Hang in there, too, and hugs to you. Judy

I'm adding you to my prayer list. Definitely be an advocate for yourself, to get the best care you can. I agree with judiths. Tell them everything. Do they have you using immodium for the diarrhea? I know it doesn't help everyone, but it works great for me.
