I checked the board after a beautiful weekend and found that we have lost our dear friend Kerry. At first I felt sadness, then anger, then I sat quietly and found some peace and want to share my thoughts. Kerry lived every day to the fullest, both before and after cancer and even recurrence. The beauty of her life is not overshadowed by her peaceful departure from this material world. Kerry, in her last e-mail to me, told me to keep running-and to beat the disease. Well, I keep running every day and every day that I live, love, laugh, run, scream, wrestle with unruly 12 year olds, walk dogs, fix doors, buy cars....every act is beating cancer. Every day I wake up with hope of the new day, i beat cancer. Kerry, your message was heard loud and clear....I WILL keep running-and living-and look forward to meeting you. All my best!
