We have lost one of our more visible colon cancer
warriors in the passing of Tony Snow, former press
secretary for President Bush. He gave our battle
a needed public viewing with interviews about his
chemotherapy and progress. Let's all wish his family the best in their time of grieving.

Oh geez - I didn't hear. I admired Tony Snow very much and didn't realize he had declined.

I didn't know about his bout with the disease. Could I get a briefing on his diagnosis, etc.

    Thanks, Val

I'm feeling very sad about this today. He was such a positive, appealing man, and I REALLY hoped he would beat his cancer.

Tony's story is so sad, what I know is he lost his mom when he was a teen to colon cancer. 4 years ago he was diagnosed at the 6 month mark he was in remission 11 months later needed more chemo. He was operated on for a tumor in his stomach. the last year was hard and now he is gone. He has a young family and at 53 he should have been concentrating on his family and the rest of his life. We can never stop spreading the word about early detection. God Bless

From what I remember, he was diagnosed at Stage IV with mets to the liver. Many of us can relate to that. On the Today show, they said that he had complications from chemo. They also said he had an obstruction which, I think, is common towards the end. His passing is very sad and my prayers are with his young family as they always are with all of you.

I turn 53 this month....sigh...WAY too many things he had left to do, with and without his family!

I was saddened to hear about the loss of Tony Snow. I did not realize he was not doing well. I feel so foturnate to be doing well, but it puts a knot in my stomach to think that his cancer came back and now he is gone. I will keep his family in my prayers.
