Thursday, 10 July 08 marks TWO YEARS NED for me. Two years ago I was in the hospital having emergency surgery for a total obstruction which took 2 days to figure out (?). Was told Stage II colon cancer and did 6 rounds of FLOFOX; kicking, screaming and crying the entire time; NOT KIDDING. Resection surgery in 02/07 and doing well.
May 07 I started back to my physical weight lifting activities and cardio routines with a big smile on my face. It took me one-year to return to what I was doing before the **** attacked.
I put on almost an additonal 20 lbs from before. 126 to a now 139/140. It still takes some to get used to, but it really helps with the physical activities.
It is still hard to believe that two years have gone by, but I thank the LORD he has given me those and others to come.

Congratulations. I was diagnosed stage IIIA, in January 2007, resection late January 2007 - 8 rounds of folfox (finished 5 and then 3 more with 5FU) and them 28 days radiation with 5
FU 5 days a week. I have gotten back to the gym - starting January 2008 doing yoga and pilates and weights - I am still working on the cardio ( I was a 5 times a week gym rat) - right now I am aiming for walking 15 - 20 miles a week. I have been fighting fatigue since last August. I am glad you are doing so well. I lost 40 some odd pounds during treatment and have gained back 20 (the rest can stay gone).
Am glad you are doing so well.
