I just called to say I Love You

It is 11:30 at night, my step daughter graduated high school today, Reggie and I just finished a late glass of wine following a dinner/hip hop music, laughing house full of people we cooked for while hosting a post graduation party for a bunch of teenagers, and we are doing laundry and a million other things before our equally busy weekend!

I had a few minutes and thought I would check the boards...and you all overwhelm me. I just want you to know how honored I am to be counted among you, and to be in any way a part of this community of courageous, witty, insightful group of women.

I am still sorry that it was Cancer that brought us together. Nevertheless, you ladies brighten my day and give me incentive. It's as if you are counting on me to do the right thing~ whatever that may be! LOL

I regret that this is probably our only meeting place, that we will remain prolific, but anonymous friends.

I simply want to say Thank You and that I love you more than you know. You all inspire me.

    Congratulations on reaching a milestone in your step-daughter's life. Cancer is a bummer but it is good we hang together in it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    Not too long ago when I started coming to this board looking for answers, support and kind words. I have found my "sisters" that I never have in this site. It is amazing that even though we don't see eye to eye, this site becomes my second home to visit. I am truly thankful for everyone. You are all an inspiration.

    Claudia, what a beautiful note! Again, my eyes are watering......the feeling is mutual:o) I can't imagine not having this site and all of you girls to talk to. You are truly friends and I look forward to reading your inspiring words every day. I too feel honored to be part of this group.

    True that, Claudia.
    So, you say we will never meet? I am holding out for coffee (ok, green tea) in Sacramento some day.
    Meanwhile, I feel like I know you all without meeting and maybe better. I do not know which of you are wealthy, beautiful, skinny,or any outside features that are distractions (except maybe how many breast you have - lol). There is a chasidic teaching...what comes from the heart goes to the heart.
    So, I love this place too. Thanks for writing your post, Claudia, and giving me this nice time enjoying your positive thoughts. love, Joyce (one breast)

    So true, I have only joined this site for a couple of months and already consider you all part of my family and my routine now includes checking this site first and them my e-mails.

    Thank you Claudia and everyone for the kind words and advice you have given me.

    And.....Joycelouise, Roseville is not far from Sacramento :)

    Congrats on your step daughters graduation!

    Thank you for your post. I too am very grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of such a fine group of women. I used to feel so different from women because of my new appearance. I have a prosthesis but it's not the same. But reading what everyone has to say has helped me to feel a part of the female society again, I am not sure how. I just feel more connected again.

    I also check this site almost everyday. If life gets busy and I don't get a chance to visit I feel like a piece is missing from my day. I feel honored to be able to learn or be inspired but such wonderful people.

    OH, that would be so fun! I had better get busy and grow my hair. But, that's just a joke, because I could meet you guys with my head as uncovered as my heart has been on this site and know it would be okay. Keep us posted, Claudia, on when you are in town. And Ninja, I didn't know you were local. Don't tell me you go to Roseville Kaiser? I do. Whooey! I am excited.

    Thank you for sharing your happy momment. While I'm honered, humbled, and ready to help with the sad and fearful stuff, I like hearing about the happy, too!

    I too check the boards when I can, and while I don't always have time to post, I am out here, listening with an empathic ear and sending postive thoughts and reinforcement!

    Yes I do, my treatments are on Fridays, next one 6-20. Are you going to the Roseville kaiser also? When?

    Just to let you know am here. So great for the graduation, as my stepson is. What a big step. I am in touch still with alot on private. As miss the chat.
