After 4 chemos my Mom is still having pain in her abdomen, so I guess Avastin sadly didn't work. The Dr. is going to change her treatment, I'm very nervious since I don't know what to expect. Please has us in your prayers. Liz

    Lizper,
I'm sorry to hear this news and I hope the next chemo does work better for her. How do you know it's the Avastin not working and not the Genoxal?? Just curious...hang in there there are so many other chemos out there for her..I'll keep her in prayer that they find the right one soon. I have been on 5 different chemo's myself and in the last 15 months have been on chemo for 11 of them. Today I'm hopefully in remission and will be not having any more tests or drugs for at least 8 weeks. I'm determined to enjoy every single minute of this 8 weeks. Has the Dr. ordered any pain relievers for her?? There is no reason for her to hurt so much, they can help with that. Take care of yourself and both of those little ones...(((hugz))) and prayers~~~Joanne

Hello Liz. Sorry to hear that your Mother hasn't been doing well. I've been on Avastin/Taxotere since November,2007....weekly. Anyway, my numbers just bounced around without any significant drop. Then, suddenly last week, I had a 100 point drop!!!! Talk about estatic! The only concern I have is that for the previous month plus, I had been doing some natural things, like essential oils and teas. So, I'm wondering if it was the oils, or if the chemo just finally kicked in! Please give her our love, and keep us posted on how she is doing. With hugs and prayers, Keelie aka MM
