pet scan results

Well just when you thought it could not get any worse here I am. The results of the pet scan showed the beast has spread to my lungs, left lymph nodes, and of all places my jaw and possibly under my tongue. Have to go for biopsy of nodes and see a ear nose and throat surgeon. My onco is going to change from hormanal thearpy to chemo at the end of the month. Don't know what cocktail she has in mind but will let you know. I want to thank all who responded to my plea and thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Will let you know what is happening as this fight for life goes on.

Terry, I am so sorry about this latest news. Don't give up. No matter how frustrating keep fighting the beast and try to stay strong and positive. Always remember the strong connection between mind and body. Diet too is a powerful tool for the immune system. Are you confident in your oncologist? Perhaps a second opinion on treatment choice. Please keep us up to date on how you are doing, ok? You will be in my prayers. Take care. Hugs and blessings, Eileen.0

Terry, so sorry about your ct results....we all dread them. As terrible as the news is, the sisters are right, we need to remain positive and beat this disease....I am glad they have a chemo you can take, I do pray it works for you and clears up your nodes. I had 19 removed and 17 were malignant so I know about the nodes, but that was 2005 and I'm still here and doing well.
My thoughts and prayers are with you hon..may your team have wisdom and direct you the best they can.
God bless......Buffy0 -
I'm not sure what i want to say. I feel sad to hear of your scan results. I want you to know that you are in my prayers. I'm pulling for you to stay strong and keep the faith that you can beat this monster. We all are with you in spirit anyway.
God works through your Onc team so try to keep faith in them too.
Hugs for you, lorie0 -

I'm so sorry to hear about your results - I can only imagine how you're feeling. Try and stay hopeful - there are so many exciting new treatments and there is good reason to stay hopeful. I use Elizabeth Dole as my touchstone. Stay strong and be good to yourself - you deserve it.
Warm Hugs,
