Hi Bonnie, Saundra, Monica, Joanne, and everyone else...How are you all doing? Last time I was here, there was a mixture of good and not so good news. I hope things are getting better. I am trekking to Hopkins again on Friday for the Gemzar and Carbo desenstization. Last time I had another reaction, but they got me straightened out and kept on pumping it in. They will drip it even slower this time w/ more premeds. I don't know what my CA# is currently, but last check had it at 47. After 2 more cycles, I'm due for another scan to evaluate whether surgery will be logical.
Bonnie, have they changed your cycles closer together? If so, I hope your results are good. I got Joanne's good news and sent a note.
I'm wishing everyone a great Memorial Day holiday, good health, and happiness. Many thanks again for being here to listen, and many blessings to you all,
Charlotte

Good to hear from you, Charlotte. I am over my treatment of the 9th and am off for a week to ten days to Colorado and ponts north. Going to see Mr. Rushmore (on my Bucket List) and a granddaughter graduate from HS. I hope your desenstization and treatment goes well. I will be checking the group via hotel connections and my laptop. Have a good holiday. ((Hugs))0

Hi Charlotte, so good to hear from you, I hope your side affects aren't as bad from the carbo as mine, it sure is some tough stuff. But for a year now it had kept the cancer pretty stable so can't complain. Yes they moved my treatments to every three weeks again. Not sure how long I could take that. I see the Dr on thursday and go over the ct scan report and then go into the hospital for my chemo. Like you I am allergic and get it over a 24 hour period with lots of premeds.
Sending prayers your way for NO reaction this time, wishes for a great Memorial weekend for you too, good health and happiness. Thanks for checking in.
Hugs N Prayers Bonnie

Charlotte!
So good to hear from you again. Thank you for all the well-wishes. It sounds as though you are staying strong and positive. I will also pray that these next cycles, scan and bloodwork all prove positive. I know how those reactions can be to the treatments. No fun. But once they get a grip on it, they can control it much better.
I hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend, full of joy and sunshine. Sending lots of super HUGS and Blessings your way!
