Non-Hodgkins Malt Lymphoma

Hi, I am being treated for NH lymphoma. I have rituxan quite often. It is not really chemo. It is another type of treatment. It is very effective for lymphoma patients. Rituxan can be used alone as a treatment. It can also be used in addition to chemo treatments (Chop). The combo is called R-Chop. There is more information on Rituxan in a book from the ACS. You can call the 1800 to request the Living with Lymphoma book. In the book it discusses any questions you may have about the disease, treatment, and what to expect during the treatment.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. My website is winthefight.
Good luck to you and your wife.0 -

I was diagnosed with NH Malt Lymphoma of the stomach in December 1997. To start I had Chemo--CVP (which didn't work and they don't use it for my type of cancer anymore) Then radiation, which did work. I had a recurrence in 2006 and had Rituxin. During the Rituxin I felt like I was not getting enough air, though my blood oxygen was normal. I also had a weird chest pain during the chemo. Everyone has a different experience, I guess. Best wishes to your wife!0

MALT Lymphoma is Mucosa-Associated-Lymphoid-Tissue cancer. The abnormal cells can accumulate in areas outside the lymph nodes, typically in mucosa tissue, such as the gastrointestinal tract, breast, lung, thyroid, salivary glands, eye, skin or soft tissues, or the skin.Djhodan said:Have you heard about Bexxar..I was wondering if you knew anyone who has gotten it and what were there results...I have follicular non hodgkins small and med cells..What is Malt lymphoma
