First adventure

I had my first adventure since my surgery in Nov. I went to my sorority convention for the weekend. It was only about 45 minutes away from home, but it was good to go and be a normal person again. I do confess I had to fight a bit of a panic attack at first. I kept thinking that if I felt sick again, my husband and doctor were both almost an hour away. I was very afraid I'd have one of the episodes of severe pain I've had lately. I got past it, though.

Yea! Normal is the BEST! And stage fright could cancel the best of plans, if you let it. Good for you that you didn't let it! This will get easier every time, until the point that you don't even think about it anymore (just like 'normal' people...lol!).

I understand how you feel! I was so looking forward to the Pug Party this past weekend, but it was a chemo week. The party was on Saturday; the day i needed to get unplugged, and they were late plugging me in Thursday. I was supposed to get unplugged around 3, but the party didn't end until 4. Well, i didn't get to the hospital until 4:30 because i was having so much fun, and felt so good, i didn't want ANYTHING to spoil it! The doctor and nurses were pissed because they couldn't leave until i got there. I felt bad, but hey...how much of life do we have to miss out on?? I'm done missing out! Good for you for taking life by the horns! I'm with you!!!
Many hugs,
