Ending Xeloda Chemo Treatments: A Question

Hi All,
I am almost at the end of my 7th cycle of Xeloda treatment and have one more to go. I should be totally finished the last week of May. My question is: How long will it take for my hands and feet, affected from the hand-foot syndrome, to return to "normal"? Also, when should I expect my energy level to return? I know that the answers are far from guaranteed, but I would like to know from personal experience.
Thanks and have a wonderful day!
Marc

Hi Marc,
I took xeloda during radiation treatments for 6 weeks with weekends off, then a month off and xeloda again with oxaliplatnan(sp?) for 12 weeks, 2 weeks on one off. Anyway my hand/foot actually got worse before it got better but in all took about 2-3 weeks to get better. Again, everyone is different but I hope you will get over it quickly, keep your hands and feet lathered up with thick lotion.
