Hello Ladies, well I just wanted to share my experience with this wonderful program with anyone who hasn't gone there yet. It was absolutely wonderful, these ladies really help any of us that don't have a clue with make up or wigs or anything of what we are going through. Now although I'm a make up artist and know most of what they were teaching but for anyone else it is very informative and uplifting. I myself learned some tricks of the trade. They go through everything from skin care to wigs, how to wear them how to shop for them and how to care for them, they show you how to wear a scarf and different alternatives to wig wearing. I am not even going to tell you all the products that they send home with you....wow....you get a lot of things in that box, I mean a lot!!! Free!!! It was such a great way to relax and meet other women with cancer, there was about 8 of us gals in the room, all with mirrors in front of us and our box of goodies! The instructors were so compassionate, giving of their time freely and lovingly. For anyone who hasn't gone, GO! It wil do you the world of good, emotionally! Ask the Cancer Society where the nearest one is to you or even ask your oncologist, they will definately know. I just wanted to share this with you. Love to all.....

Linda - you make it sound like so much fun! I regret not going now. I just wore my scarves and did my makeup like usual. It was until towards the end of chemo that my eyelashes & eyebrows really fell out and then it was pretty awkward putting make up on eye-wise. I will pass the word on to others that I know - so that can take advantage of it.
So you are a make up artist. That is so cool. What a diverse group of women we have on this site. You are sounding good today. Take good care.

Linda,
I went to the Look Good Feel Better as well and I absolutely enjoyed it. It was alot of fun and the box of free stuff was so cool, and my box contained all name brand expensive make-up. I am glad that you went. I hope that you had a great weekend and have a great week this coming week. I look forward to chatting with you soon.
Take Care,
Leslie0
