I wanted to once again share this e-mail I received when I was losing my hair...it is so neat, and I thought it better to start a new page to insure that all of you read it.

Attitude
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well,"she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, and looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." So she did, and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, and looked in the mirror and noticed she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply, Love generoulsy, Care deeply, Speak kindly....and Leave the rest to God.

I sent this out of love for all of us who had to experience that awful day when we lost our hair. I found this e-mail such a comfort at the time, and my hope is that it will do the same for you.
Blessings from above,

    Hi Bev:
What a beautiful email and an inspiration for all of us. I too lost my hair when going through chemo and just went with the flow. I now have beautiful curly hair. Thanks, and blessings and prayers to you. Lili

Thanks Bev for the inspiration. I know I am vain about my looks but it seems as though this is all I can think about. That message does make you realize its the way you look at hair loss and accept it that matters. Thank you.

    bev,
It's interesting you should post this today. Just this morning at church a gentleman was complaining about his thinning hair (it's really not very noticeable). He is normally very jovial and quick-witted, so I smarted off, "You've got more hair than I have" (mine is about like the hair on the chin of the famous 3 little pigs). I was surprised that he actually did not have a come-back.

    Thanks for sharing, seof
  • How true! Thanks for the upliffting story.

I saw a lady on t.v. yesterday the show 10 years younger, she was middle aged, and they cut 3 or 4 inches off her hair, and she was crying. That made me feel better. Maybe I do have the right to cry for my hair after all. Sheila

When I noticed my hair falling out I shaved it. Now it's coming back and it is so soft. Now which hat or scarf to wear. Thanks!!!!! Suezette3
