quarterly check up

well I am going for a quarterly check up in two weeks. It really brings the reality of being diagnosed with cancer back to the front page. I had a big polyp excised in the rectal area and the surgeon urged me to have the whole rectum removed. I consulted with an oncologist and decided to waive the surgery and just monitor the area where the tumor was removed. I guess now I am back to being a little on edge. I have been feeling so well since november when I had the excision that I kind of pushed the possibility of the cancer growing out of my mind.
I have changed my diet to mostly veggies and fruits. cut way down on sugar and refined flour etc. I have been exercising daily too.
I hope my gamble is paying off and they don't find any more growth.
I read this message board everyday and thanks to all of the brave people who share so much hope.

I'll send you plenty of positive thoughts for a good checkup. I had my twice yearly scan today and let me tell you I was not fun to work with yesterday due to being stressed out. It sounds like you are doing well and have made some great changes.
