Set Back

Well I went 15 whole days without using my peg, but had to go in for my 6th esophageal dilation and now have to use the peg again. Bummer! The pain from the dilations make it very difficult to eat or drink anything by mouth for quite a few days afterwards. Has anyone else had to deal with these dilations?

    Hi Marie,
    Sorry I didn't post sooner but I have been out of town. I don't see it as a setback but just part of treatment, you'll be fine as frog's hair in no time!

    Thanks for the encouragement Bill. I hope you're right! I can't remember...did you have dilations done too? I hope this finds you doing well.

    Hi Marie,
    No, I never had to have them but know of several folks who have, doesn't sound like fun at all! But if that's what it takes to get ya gooder than that's what you have to do!
    All is well with me, my last check up was fine. I am now 7 days from my one year post treatment!

    Congratulations on your "almost" 1 yr anniversary!!! I knew you were ahead of me but I didn't realize you were a whole 3 mos ahead of me! I hope I get even MORE get gooder!
