Yesterday we began a new bout with the big "C". We went to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa. They are great, so helpful, we have print outs on the chemo, side effects, how to prevent or lessen them. Everything is geared toward treating the whole person not just the cancer. There are classes on eating, vitamines and supplements, Yoga, laughter. etc The food in their cafe is all organic and very tasty. This is our second time for chemo and we can compare the two experiences.

I've heard some very good things from these places...please keep us posted. Sadly, I have an HMO, so I doubt that I could ever get into one, unless I self-paid, or waited till I am on Medicare...and that isn't for over a decade from now...lol!!!
Please keep us posted!

This is always good information to know. When I was diagnosed, it came as a complete surprise and I just reacted instead of getting information and looking at options. In my mind, I seem to have formulated a plan on how to deal with it if I am ever diagnosed again, lol. I have seen the advertisements of hope for Cancer Treatment Centers of America and was always curious how good they are. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I pray that you crush the beast as it sounds like you are in good hands.
