Sisterhood Gift

Dear Sisters,
The gift each of you give of yourself by chatting on-line, writing responses on the message board, writing emails, sharing your own emotions, strengths, weaknesses have all been a gift to each of us. For all those survivors that keep in touch over the years, it is a total inspiration to us that are new. We can see the light at the end of the roller coaster through your eyes and words. The prayers and enormous spirits that are sent out are felt among all of us both those giving and those receiving. Some are just beginning their journey and we will all be with you throughout the process. Some have been surviving cancer for years and years and that is a gift in itself. Cancer has been a gift to me because it has made me reflect how seriously I took life and allowed all those petty things to bother me and now I just take life as a gift. That does not mean I want cancer but I do thank the gift of freedom it has given me to love my days. I have the gift of you sisters to help remind me on those days I have difficulty, that I am not alone and loved by you. Happy Valentine's Day to all my sisters here and for all those that couldn't be here. God Bless each of you and your family. Angela

Angela - be inspired. For me, realizing the gifts I never knew existed that come from reaching out and learning to be strongER through inter-dependance have been and continue to be so numerous and amazing. Cancer surviving women are empowering examples of how to live life with both the heart and the head. Thank you all, esp on this valentine's day!!0

Angela,
I ran across one of my T-Shirts from a Komen race I was in last year. It was PINK (I HATE pink, lol), and had 'Survivor' printed on it. But, above that, the printing gave me pause....
"I walk for those that did before me, and with those that walk beside me". For me, that said it all....
Hugs, Kathi0 -
You couldn't have said it better! By the way, I have been thinking about your roller coaster image. The idea that you are on your way up again. Yes, we want to go up! But, the roller coaster has to work so hard to bring the car up. When times are hard, we are going up...I hope the view from the top is beautiful for you after all your hard work.
love,

Thank you Angela and God bless you too. I'm glad you have felt the care, concern and love that has travelled through the ether to get to you. Wonderful isn't it? Happy Valentines Day to you too.
