Hi everyone,
On Monday I just had my upteenth colonoscopy and, Praise the Lord, it was negative. Not a sign of a polyp or anything and I am so grateful. They went up as far as they could and even checked the seal where I had the bi-section and that was all good. Just to update you, I had Stage B colon cancer in my ascending colon. Had surgery to remove that part of my colon. No lymph node involvement and no chemo.

I just wanted to post some good news. I always get freaked out before this test and usually am so anxious it is hard to sedate me, so I know you all can relate to that.

Just keep on having faith and fighting.
Love
Fran

So happy to hear that it all came out well in the end.
    Q. Has anyone found a prep that was not too bad going down. I just had my colonoscopy and the prep was a vile tasting lime, called Moviprep. I hated every drop of it! I will ask for something different next time, but at a loss for what. This site should be able to come up with a pretty good survey of the best available. Not Moviprep, though my GI doc said some people don't mind it.

Hi Jo Ann, This time I was given a pill called osmo...It was a lot of tablets followed by 8 ounces of water and a clear liquid diet but it was MUCH better than any of that other stuff I have drank. I have a bad gag reflex and would wind up throwing up most of the gallon liquid stuff. Also, a friend of mine had a phospho drink (2 of them 8 ounces each) that she drank. Ask your dr about these. Thanks for your good wishes. I am so thankful

No suggestions for a good prep here. I have had tried most of them - not the pills-. All bad. I think that more people would be willing to have the test if a better/easier prep was available.
Don't wait for the virtual test either. Doc said the prep is the same for that test.

With all science is doing, there should be a better way to prep. It is much worse than the actual test. Maybe I need to sedation for the prep rather than the test.
