Good morning everyone. I made it through yet another treatment. I can't wait until they find a treatment that doesn't feel like its killing you to heal you. :-} Oh well, I am gratefull for the pre drugs that help you not get as sick as woman did years ago.

Now back to the subject! :-D

It is a Miracle! That is one of the first sentences out of my Dr's mouth last Friday. He said there is No Evidence of Active Disease, and that it is a miracle. I know to be here, five-years after such a long ongoing battle, is a gift from our Lord. I have to say my faith isn't based on miracles, but they sure do give one a boost don't they.

We talked about continuing the chemo every 6 weeks then if all still looks well I will try every 8 weeks; and if all looks well after that ...you get the picture! Hopefully I can just keep stretching them out and if the cancer becomes active again he said we can do a couple close together.

I pray 2008 bring the miracles in your life to light. We can truly appreciate the miracle of a sunrise when we have spent some time in the darkness.

May your day be full of His light, his comfort, his peace and yes His miracles.

Prayers n Hugs BonnieRose

Job 5:9 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted

    bonnie,
That really is the best news, and I do believe in miracles, nothing, in my eyes is a coincidence...I like his plans to keep the treatment going, and putting more time between each one. If this Topo doesn't give me a long remission, I suggest something like what your doing to help!! Thanks for the idea!! (((hugz))..Joanne

BonnieR, I have seen many changes in chemo etc since 1995 when my sister was diagnosed with ovca and I would go with her when she was having her chemo. She died on the 1 March 2002. I was diagnosed on the 27 Feb 2002. This site offers unique opportunities to learn through the experience of other very dedicated generous caring Ladies prepared to share their knowledge and to offer support to others on a day to day basis with advice on side effects etcs. I do believe in miracles and I have over the years seen how people with strong faiths do so well. You are an inspiration to me. Irene.

I think this is chemo type 8 or so and no remissions. I am currently on desensitized carbo. I was allergic to it the first time and we stopped and finished with only taxol. Then my dr said sometimes the cancer mutates and becomes platinum sensitive again. And it did and it is working. :-) In the past 5 years I have taken maybe 3 months off after about a year of steady chemo and then back on another type, I have gone from chemo to chemo trying to stop it. Last year the avastin/cytoxan stopped a lot of it by not allowing it to be fed. Hope that helps you out, I know Jan 25, 2006 we were told it was coming to the time when I would be very sick and to what degree they should keep fighting to keep me alive. Boy that is so hard to believe now. :-)

Wow Bonnie - that is just awesome news. It truly gives me great hope.

Although I am now in remission I sometimes dwell on the statistic given to me in the beginning that I have a 50% chance of making it 5 years. That plus knowing what the recurrence rate is for ovarian cancer just makes me wonder how long until the next episode, etc. There are times when I let myself think of how it would be not to see my son grow older, get married, have a child and that about kills me. But then I read this site everyday and see how everyone fights, and has faith and it inspires me to keep moving forward and remember to count my blessings.

To have never really been off chemo in 5 years and now finding you have no cancer - my hats off to you. I don't know how you've done it, but it really does make me feel good and hopeful and I am just so happy to hear you are doing well.

My best to you and your family and keep the faith. A miracle for sure.

Bonnie, this is most excellent news! Your experience is one of the reasons you and we should all keep coming to the board. It helps all of us to hear that the drugs do actually work at times, even though they can be pretty rough on us. Thank you for telling us this latest news!
