Still in Limbo - Inconclusive

After meeting with the surgeon tonite, we are, unfortunately, still in limbo but feel a tiny bit encouraged. The largest growth seen on the ct/mri may be scar tissue or may not be. The MRI cannot definitively tell the difference. A PET scan will now be scheduled, and even if it lights up, a biopsy may need to be done to confirm anything. So we are still in limbo and hoping for the best. Thank you for all the well wishes, positive thoughts and prayers. They are deeply appreciated. This is pretty nerve wracking stress, and I had hoped that at least the waiting game would be over. It wasn't meant to be I guess right now, so we will deal with it as we have ..one day at a time the best we can. Thank you for the continued support . Keep the faith. God Bless you all.

    One day at a time.....Sorry that you have to wait again, but let's be encouraged by the fact that this growth may be scar tissue. That's the answer we need to go with until we are told different!

    I know the waiting is very stressful for both of you. I think with me waiting until Janruary 10th to even schedule another cat scan to check on the suspicious nodules in my lung is driving me crazy. I guess we just keep chugging along hoping for answers. I will keep praying that your husband receives some good news from the pet scan. Sending you warm thoughts, Audrey.

    I'm so sorry that you still have to play the waiting game. I've had to wait on results with my dad many, many times and I know exactly how frustrating this is for you. I'm feeling confident that what the docs are seeing is just scar tissue. It only makes sense. Please keep the faith. I've been praying and will continue to keep praying for you and your husband.

    Diane: The fact that the MRI is inconclusive is a good sign, so I would definitely be encouraged by the news. As I mentioned before, the main thing is that your hubby is feeling well. Our bodies tell us when something is wrong. Although I had my liver resection in July, there are some mets in the lungs that we are keeping an eye on, but I have decided to fully enjoy my blessings, and face the new year when it comes. I hope you and hubby can do the same. You are in my prayers. Monica

    Sometimes it's one hour at a time....

    Try this: Think of something you all usually do this time of year that you haven't done. I don't know, even watching 'White Christmas' or something. Make the rule that everyone is invited....EXCEPT CANCER!!!! No talking about it, thinking about it, etc.....without a break, it's even tougher to wait...
