I'm glad you decided to go ahead with the oncotype test. I can't help you with the other problem. I know a month is a long time to wait for news...but I'll keep you in my prayers. Keep a positive attitued. Teresa0

Hi Gail, my husband had nodes that kept showing up on the CT scan and it was thought it was just debris after his colorectal surgery. So this is entirely within reasonable thinking. I can understand your anxiety but your surgery wasn't that long ago, right? And so neither were your presurgery tests of your lungs and chest.
We'll all keep our fingers crossed for you anyways
cheers

Are you talking about nodes or nodules? I now have about 15 nodules - 3 new ones on my most recent PET/CT scan. I referred to them as nodes the other day and freaked out my radiologist until he realized that I was talking about nodules. They have been watching them for 4 years. Each year I have a couple new ones, but they don't do anything. They never show up on the chest x-ray - just on the CT scan.

This is a band of spots over the area where my surgery took place and it is also in the lymph nodes in the chest. My doctor explained that maybe the nodes were just doing their job and filtering the debris and this maybe why the spots are there. They all use the words "we hope". They just called and told me my tumor markers are fine also. Another positive tidbit. Thanks for your help everyone. I am definitely trying to stay positive.3cbrca said:Are you talking about nodes or nodules? I now have about 15 nodules - 3 new ones on my most recent PET/CT scan.
