Or at least I think I do! Not sure when exactly I noticed this, but I feel like even after I bathe, I'm just not "fresh!" Also seems like deodorants just aren't cutting it (I use mitchum)I'm 46 and chemo put me into sudden menopause (about 2 1/2 years ago) Has anyone else had this problem? What do you do about it? Help!

I have noticed that my pubic area seems to stink in the early afternoon and get worse as the day progresses. I use scented pantiliners and take baby wipes to work and clean myself and dry off with copious amounts of toilet paper. It seems to keep me from noticing myself as much. So far, if anyone at work has noticed they have been silent about it in my hearing. I work with kids from Kindergarten through 4th grade...I think they would have let me know if they noticed, so I guess it works. If I was stinking in other places (underarms) I think I would use the baby wipes to wipe it down 2 or 3 times during the day and use a talcum powder, or baby poweder with baking soda, if you don't mind smelling like a baby. I like Shower-to-shower powder which I buy at the grocery store (try Wal-Mart). I am not familiar with Mitchum, but you could ask the nurses in the chemo room, or ask the pharmacist, or maybe ask a female coach at a local school for what works with sweaty kids who don't always have time to bathe before class.

    Best wishes, seof

I just shower in the morning, and in the evening if necessary to feel better. Also, feminine wipes are available for just this.

But, make sure that you check it out....maybe you have a minor yeast infection....it's not the same as pre-menopausal woman have...no discharge necessarily....

During RT they would not let me use any deodorant or powder. The only thing they would let me use was corn starch - it was summer and I had just started getting hot flashes (chemo put me into menopause). At the time I thought it was really strange, but now I still use it all over. Its amazing for keeping you dry and fresh with no additional scents or irritation! I keep it in a jar with a powder puff.

thanks for your comments. I had forgotten about the cornstarch - it helps. I also changed soaps (from zest to dial)and that has also helped.
