er pr positive/Her2 positive

Does anyone else have this? Stage 1 no lymphnode involvement, premenopausal. What were the treatments? Just recently had lumpectomy awaiting word from docs on their plan.

    ER/PR positive...boarderline HER2 positive (did FISH test...negative). So, I was treated HER2 negative Was yours clearly HER2 positive?
    Old lady of 51, Stage IIB...invasive, in sentinel nodes...lumpectomy...ACT chemo, rads...So, this will not be your treatment, but I am sending good, strong, healthy vibes...

    Not sure about the FISH test. My doc is consulting his colleagues on this. Next appointment is Nov 2.

    ER/PR positive, and HER2 positive, premenopausal, 21 lymphnodes involved - stage IIIc. Treatment is chemo and rads, and something called herceptin for the HER2, which I have to do for a year. No side effects, just a PITA.

    chemo has side effects right? what is your treatment? Doc said I will have a/c for 8 weeks, taxol for 12, rads and herceptin

    oh yea, the chemo has side effects. But it affects everyone differently. The taxol is not as bad as the other cocktails, it just makes me very very tired. The herceptin doesn't have side effects, which is good since you have to take it for so long. Sounds like you're going down a similar road to beating this beast as I have.

    My treatment - after the lumpectomy I had 8 chemo sessions (every 2 weeks) - first 4 with a/c, then 4 with taxol & herceptin.

    I have 2 treatments left, then I have to go back in for my mastectomy and then rads then reconstruction. And that will be the end of this nonsense for me.

    I went to a Wellness Center today for a support group - wish I'd done it sooner. I didn't think it was my style or that I'd need it, but it would have helped. I struggle with the fatigue and get depressed. You might want to find out what's available for you.

    Does Caligal mean you're in California? I'm in Cali north of LA, going to City of Hope cancer center, and feel like I'm great hands.

    actually moved from cali, but still LOVE it.

    appt with onc is fri but got prelim info

    a/c for 8 weeks

    taxol for 12 weeks

    radiation

    herceptin for a year.

    question: how do they put the port in? is it surgery like the lumpectomy where you are completely knocked out or is it outpatient?

    I don't have a port, not yet anyways. My veins are starting to be less cooperative, but I hope to make it without one. I'm sure others here have had one.
    I found a good website about her2* and info about herceptin - www.her2support.org.

    Sorry, I don't have the same diagnosis but am premenopausal and have stage IV in my liver, lungs, and bones. I had 32 lymph nodes removed with 6 positive and had a lumpectomy. I am also HER-2 positive with FISH test positive. I am currently on Herceptin and another experimental drug. I was initially treated with front-line Taxotere and Herceptin but the tumors began to grow again after 6 months. I wish you luck on your plan. God Bless!

    Maddie, I have a port in my upper left chest and it's wonderful. My veins just wouldn't have survived all the needle draws and IVs. It bothered me for the first couple of months but I have now gotten use to it. I have chemo every three weeks and it sure is nice using the port.

    Breast cancer moved to liver 11/07. Her 2 positive. Taking Tykerb pills instead of herception. No serious side effects. Doc says it helps protect against brain cancer. Hoping for best. 4th course chemo this month of Xeloda
