Sorry I have been a little abscent, as you know I'm so busy with my Mom and my baby (6 months now). We got my Mom's PET Scan result, thank good there has been a good response to treatment, up to now she has had 9 chemos. All the solid lesions that appeared in March are apparently gone, specially a bigger one that was adyacent to her colon. What I don`t like it there are many swollen nodule that appear in various areas like arm pits, groin, neck... but the report says that the are not showing any metabolic hiperactivity(= cancer) and a think it says they are under 1 cm. There another 2 nodules a little bigger than 1 cm which must be cheked and are around between her liver and spinal cord but they are not shpwing any abnormality either. I'm so glad for the results but still can`t stop woorying about the swollen nodules. The Dr. says sometimes this is due because of an illness or even the chemo. I hope so...the ebst new and what conforts my Mom and me the most is that she no longer will have surger for now and hopefully no more. We will be seeing her Onc this week hw thinks the cancer is gone but he says he still wants to give her more chemo just to be sure, he has not tols us how many more. I'll keep ypu posted.
Blessing to all. LIZ

Glad to hear that your mom is responding so well to the chemo. Sounds like mostly good news to me and I would enjoy it and not waste time with worry. At least there is no more surgery for now.
I have had 8 chemos and may get to go to a year of maintenance on a much lower dose once a month. ((HUGS)) for your mom.0 -
Thanks to all. Joanne I hope you are doing better. My Mom has been on Gemzar and Cisplatin and did good results.. the big but is her counts... it has been hard for her to bounce back. A Hug 4 u Lizfloridajo said:Lizper,
