My Mom

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you on August 27th at 1:30 a.m., my mom passed away. She was at home and my dad, myself, and my two sisters were with her. My family is literally reeling from the loss of my mom. Our faith is strong and I know we will get through this, but it is still very difficult. I know that she is in Heaven and that she is out of pain, but we still miss her very much. My dad and I are making "Granny's Garden" in the corner of our property. All of my mom's favorite flowers will be planted there and in the spring, I know it will be beautiful. My parents were married 47 years and my mom was 63 at the time of her passing. I count my blessings every day, and having such a wonderful mom for 42 years is one of them.
Thank you all for your support during this journey. This board is truly amazing and I have made some wonderful friends here. I don't know what I would have done with out all of you. You are all in my prayers.

    Valerie: I am so, so sorry for your loss. There is very little I can say that can possibly make you feel better, but one thing I do know for sure, is that your mom could not have been surrounded or supported by more love and tenderness as demonstrated by you and your family. I pray you can take some comfort in that. Monica

    Your loss is a grave one, and I know there is no real human comfort right now. You have been a daughter that any mother would wish for and I know you were a comfort to her. I pray for you and your family's solace.

    Valerie, my sincere condolences on your mom's passing . It's with a heavy heart I read this as I know how much you , your family and she went through over the past months. I know she will look down on the garden with love and she'll always be watching over her family and it. God Bless

    it just breaks my heart everytime one of "ours" pass away....so many mixed fellings...You were such a great caregiver..God bless you and your family for that

    I am sending my love and hugs. I have experienced so much loss in the last year, that I know you are reeling from it all. One piece of advice...DO NOT let the legal side of this get to you...I got so caught up, I was stressing so bad, that I endangered my health.

    Remember that she has only moved....from in front of your eyes, into your heart, where she will live on forever.

    I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I know how difficult this must be for you and your family. Your mom was so lucky to have a wonderful, supportive family surrounding her, and yes you are blessed to have had your mother with you for 42 years.
