PO'd at Drs.

I kept telling my drs. that I felt something wasn't right. Went to family physician last week, and I had a Serracult test (where you check for blood in stool), from my physical, prior to my polyp being found during my colonoscopy. I did the test last week and had a call today from my family phys. that the test came back positive - 2 out of 4 samples, for blood in my stool.

They suggest I call the colo rectal drs. I saw in July, which I will do in the morning. I am mad.

Do you blame me?

    Hi Kathy,

    I'm a little confused by your note. The test can be run right away so there was some delay in getting the results to you and being unhappy about that is understandable. When was the colonoscopy and polyp removal? If it was done in July it is unlikely the positive test is from a problem in the colon. There are , of course, other things which can give a positive test, even diet. Be sure to continue to persist until you get an answer.

    Well, who knows why you're having blood. I would certainly run it by your colo rectal doctor, but it could be any number of things and since you just had your colonoscopy recently...
    Your post is a little confusing though. I hope you get some answers soon.

    I'm sorry am a little confused too, but the blood could be anything as **** said. Certainly have it checked out and hopefully it is something easily taken care of . I had blood in mine. Had colonoscopy and all clear. My husband did not have blood in his but had routine colonoscopy and is stage IV , so it can be anything.
