There are a couple of folks in the small town where I live that have dealt with metastatic colon cancer to their liver and lungs for 7 years now.

I have had liver and lung mets for almost 5 years now and I still have a pretty good quality of life on most days.

I have another friend that is still NED (no evidence of disease) 6 years after colon cancer had spread to her liver.

But the person that is NED after colon cancer liver AND lung mets has been as elusive as Bigfoot.

I'm hoping to find that person (or persons) today and learn what they did to get there.

I don't live in your town, but had liver and lung mets (liver mets confirmed with biopsies) and am currently NED since 2004. It was rectal carcinoma, not colon cancer that had spread. If you want to know more, you can read my personal web page here.

I had one liver and 2 lung mets which I was fortunate enough to have surgically removed. I have been NED since the last surgery to remove the lung mets. I know there are others on this board who have achieved this through chemo as well as through diet and supplements.....
I hope some more of them will reply too! It can be done.
    Best wishes,

I had liver and lung mets. Through chemo the lung mets disappeared (hopefully forever) and a liver resection took care of the liver. It can be done. Don´t give up! Monica

I am nearly 4 years NED. I had a 71/2 lb. met to my liver. They removed it. Later after the start of Chemo I had inumerable spots on my lungs. No symptoms, so I had a biopsy. Turns out it is not cancer. My onc said he has seen this one other time since mine and thinks it may be due to the Chemo.
