Hello, just wondering if anyone has some word to offer me? In February my dad (age 52) died of melanoma. It was a tough 18 month battle that my entire family fought. Yesterday, my 13 year old son had a mole sent in for a biopsy. The mole was 0.5cm, asyymetrical, jagged edges, varigated in color... all the typical warning signs. Now I am left with an entire WEEK to wonder what I am about to here concerning my son. They say it is rare in children, but I have heard otherwise. Some have tried to encourage me by saying most times an ugly mole is nothing more than ugly, dont worry. I worry. I wonder what the chances are that cancer is likely to be the diagnosis? If anyone has any thoughts, please speak up.
