testicular cancer

I had R/P surgery 18 months ago. Recovery went a lot better than expected. All of the related problems of the surgery resolved with time.
Prior to surgery I mentioned to the Dr. that I could feel a pea sized lump on my left testical that I believe appeared after an infection years eariler. During the examination he stated that it was nothing to worry about and because the testical was smaller than normal that he doubted it was functional at present.
Now it appears to be shrinking in size and the pea size lump is larger.
Have any of you experienced a difference in your testicles,....size or shape? By the way, where does the sperm go now that the tubes have been disconnected from the prostate?
I have an appointment next month with the urologist, but would appreciate your thoughts.
