Surgery tomorrow

All of our prayers are with you. I am on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Prostate Cancer Coilation. Our objective is to build awareness for all the men (like yourself) who do not get annual physical's. Annual physical's (rectal examines and PSA's) are a must for every man. As we all know, if caught early it is not a problem.
You will see that the surgery is not a big ordeal. It is the catheder (10 days) that is the biggest issue. It doesn't hurt, it is just uncomfortable.
Keep us posted on your progress. I am sure everything will be find. God Bless.0 -
Hey Bruce. How did the RP go?? Post and let us know how you are. fcatroneo is right - catheter is more of an issue than the recovery - really a nuisance -- irritating mostly. Keep getting up and walking around.
I had RP end of March -- fine now except still using 3-4 pads a day -- but with much less leakage.

The surgery had to be postponed. When the blood test was done for the pre-op ,I had an elevated hemoglobin count. After seeing a blood specialist I have been giving blood twice a week for 3 weeks.Tomorrow is the last time hopefully. The hemoglobin count has come down to the normal range. The surgery is scheduled for July 5. I cant wait to get this over.Bamfam said:Hey Bruce. How did the RP go??
