FIL fighting the beast... ugh

Hi all. Been a while since I've posted, but I read often.
Found out yesterday my father-in-law has lung cancer. The staging and typing aren't in yet, but it is definitely lung cancer. Hi general health and age (80) make him a poor candidate for surgery so they're discussing radiation as a pallative measure.
I, meanwhile, am approaching my next CT Scan and colonoscopy in July and predict, with confidence, that I will still be dancing with NED.
Plase pray fro my FIL and my MIL, his wife of nearly 60 years. They are in that no-man's land of in-between and adjusting to the shock...
Man I hate the beast, in all, of its forms.

I am sending my best prayers, my dear!
I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, stage III. She is younger than your FIL, but she is winning the battle...chemo is involved as well as rads...she is not a candidate for surgery because of location.
You know the drill. Live each day at a time. Don't sweat till you get the whole picture.
BTW, OF COURSE you will still be NED!!! lol

Hi Patrusha, nice to hear from you. Been wondering how you are doing. Not nice to hear that someone else is fighting the beast. My father had radiation only as he was 86 when diagnosed. Do they have a cell type? That makes a difference in the responsiveness to treatment.
You will stay NED. Will add your FIL and MIL to our prayers.
