anyone treated at MD Anderson?

This is driving me nuts. For those of you that have been treated at MD Anderson maybe you can help me before I go completely crazy.
Does anyone remember a statue that was outside of the chapel there, it was of a woman holding a flower with a hummingbird taking nectar from the flower. On the bottom of the statue was an inspirational poem, I believe it was by Oscar Wilde and it was about a bird lighting on a branch that starts to give way and then flys away. It was of course meant to say that when we are in our darkest hour we can "use or wings" so to speak.
At any rate, I cannot remember the exact words and I have no idea what the name of the poem is but I would like to find it!
The statue was moved during the construction that has been taking place there and the last time I was there, in November, it was gone. I don't know if they have put it back yet, or moved it or what.
Does anyone have the faintest idea what I am talking about?

    Hi Susan,

    I go to MD Anderson and my next appointment is June 7 for a CAT scan and then my results are on the 8th. I guess I am asking for extra prayers for me because I have been through 4 1/2 yrs of chemo until this past Feb. when I was NED. So I'm scared out of my wits....needless to say.

    I will check on the statue when I am there. Sounds quite meaningful.

    Anyway, if I may tack on to your post, I would love lots of prayers.....it has been a long battle.

    I'm sending my prayers for your good news of NED staying and the end of treatments. You have always been there for everyone here on this site giving advice and good words, so now it's time for you to get all the well wishes. You'll be in my thoughts on June 7th and 8th.

    Hello Susan,

    I know that Oscar Wilde wrote a short story titled "The Happy Prince", The main characters are a statue (of a prince) and a swallow. However, there isn't a humming bird involved. Here's a link:

    Dear Kerry:
    I'll be sending prayers out for you at your upcoming appt. at MDA on June 7th!!!!!

    Aren't check-ups terribly nerve wracking? I've never learned how to deal with check-up fear, but I know I have to go get them done.

    I just got back from my May check-up at MDA & I'm still NED! It's been 18 months since the liver resection. And the 18 tumors are gone.

    I'm wishing the same for you!
