I had my family with me for the 1st lap for survivors. I felt overvelmed but it was GREAT to finally be able to go. We got there at 3:00 pm and stayed for the Luminary ceremony I lost my Mom and brother to cancer, so we stayed for it. I got to light their candles and cried but I felt like she was with me. It was windy and some bags started to catch fire, so I asked if I could take their bags home with me. The let me and I am going to hang them on the wall. I really enjoyed the whole thing after waiting since 2005 to go I did it, I made it all the way around.

Yea for you, dearheart!
I met so many of my 'graduates' this weekend at the Relay I went to....people that I had played guide for along their treatment journey....I got SO MANY hugs and 'Thankyou's'....it made me cry...tears of joy. I got a luminary for all my 'road warriors' (that includes you guys here), and one in memory of all my fallen heros....
Glad you were able to experience it all...it is such a warm, family feeling!
Hugs, Kathi0
