I'm sooooo hungry!! (ranting here)
I don't know how those poor people in Africa do it. I feel guilty. Being hungry sucks!
and the test is tomorrow at 4pm. I'm so cranky right now I almost want to hit something. I told my honey he should just stay in a hotel tonight
bedsides that, some lovely period cramps have started too. (insert joke here)
The nurse said that didn't matter for tomorrow.
I'm playing games online and trying hard to not think of the hunger. Ohh helppppp meeeee pleaseeeee!
BTW- sorry I didn't rely to the mail messages. I just figured out how to go in and check them!
but how do you add people as friends??

Play computer games on Pogo.com....it's a blast.
As far as the hunger, can you nap? Sleeping sometimes helps! Maybe next time set the test for first thing in the morning. That is what I do.
Good luck,
Stacy
P.S. You and your honey need to try to attend our Palooza in Sept. We'll have food there! lol0 -
My wifw just had a screening colonoscopy today (all clear) so did that terrible restriction as well. She made and ate quite alot of jello which is counted as fluids and helped some of the hunger pangs (just don't do red or blue jello).
Good luck, hope the test goes well for you.

We feel your pain. I drank lots of gatorade and ate jello. HUGS and it will all be over soon!

Lucky,
Yep I was starving the whole day before my scope, but when the bathroom thing kicked in I did not have a whole lot of time to think about how hungry I was!! One thing to look forward to is the drugs they use for the scope are sooooooooo good. Nice little nap. Hope things check out great for you. Good luck.

Lucky, just remember that you will be able to eat soon. It is so hard when you are starving. The broth helped me a lot.valeriec said:Lucky,

babs, I too had mine during my resection! I also did not want to delay the surgery because of it. The doctors had no problem with it either. The hospital I was at had their own supplies, luckily, but mainly my mom helped me there. She was a trooper! She even shaved my legs for me because it was driving me crazy lol.0 -
Hi Lucky -
I know how you feel (next time ask for a morning or early PM appt.). But, I find that some warm broth and white grape juice gets me over the hump. I dream about food at first, but that goes away. After a while food becomes irrelevant. And once you start the prep drugs, well, food is the last thing on your mind.
I've never had a colonsocopy as late as 4PM. Good luck - next time try for early afternoon at the latest.
Both my GI doc and oncologist now agree that I don't need another one for 3 years. Happy about that, but it is the prep that is the issue, not the test.
Good luck,

I know the hunger pains. Been there and done that. Have to do it again this year. Hubby is the cc person but I have polyps so I have one each 3 years.
If it helps, I talked to a woman this week who has to be on liquids two days before being scoped. Some other medical issue causes her system to be slow therefore she is not "clean" unless she starves for two days. My hubby really would leave if I had to do without food for two days. He threatens to leave if I even mention going on a diet. He makes sure I am fed often as he hates the "new me" otherwise. (haha)
Good luck tomorrow night, opps I mean afternoon with the scope.
