DANCING WITH NED!

Saw my oncologists this morning and got the results from my CT scans. "No evidence of metastatic disease" in the lungs, abdomen or pelvis. The two spots in my liver remain unchanged and they still suspect both to be fatty cysts. They'll do another scan in July (along with colonoscopy).
My bloodwork was all normal. The CEA was still below 1 just as it was back in September. In July when I had full-blown cancer it was only 1.5, so it may not be a good indicator for me, but I still like to see it down below detectable levels!
Whew. I feel like I am getting my life back. Now if I could just find a job and replace the salary my family depends on, well now, that would be just peachy! Still, I'd rather be jobless and NED than be working and still have cancer, eh?!!! YEAH!!!

Wonderful news, Pat!
Good luck with the job search, but you are right - jobless and NED is definitely the preferable place!
Take care,

Hello Patrusha,
CONGRATULATIONS! You and I have been neck and neck through this whole thing - surgery, chemo and NED at the same time. I was just restaged NED last Friday. Isn't it great? Wishing you a healthly and happy 2007. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Sister.
