Thank God for this board!

My sister called me today and said a chest Xray showed some "spots" on her lungs. She is a smoker and one of my other sisters (a non-smoker) died of lung cancer. But other than some abdominal pain, my sister has no symptoms. They've done a colonoscopy, barium, ultrasounds, lots and lots of tests and found no cause for her abdominal pain. But now this.

Then I saw the post on lung spots and learned that often lung spots are just healed scar tissue from old injuries! Hallelujah! My sister also told me my dad apparently has lung nodules that are non-cancerous, but this is a guy who has had three different cancers so far, not including the skin cancers he keeps having taken out.

Anyway, my sis is having a chest CT scan on the 19th to rule out anything in her lungs. But I was encouraged by the info on this board, again.

I also had my follow-up chest and abdmonial CT scan last Friday, my first since my surgery last summer to remove my colorectal tumor (and since quitting chemo after getting half-way through it). I haven't heard anything from my oncologists and I've been busy looking for a new job, so I haven't been pursuing the results. I see the oncologist on Friday morning anyway for blood work and to follow up on the CT Scan, so I can wait. No news is good news. I figure if something showed up he would have called me....
