Palooza Newza!

Happy 2007 everyone!!!

With the new year slowly beginning to unfold, and an influx of "newbies" on the site, I feel the need to discuss something very important to everyone. It's a little event we call COLON PALOOZAS!

Our colon cancer survivors and caregivers have grown into a closely-knit group of folks who decided many years ago that it would be great to meet in person. Well, this coming October, 2007, we will be holding the 5th Colon Palooza event. This time, it'll be in Nashville, Tennessee.

This trip will entail a load of laughs, good times, and serious fun. It's an opportunity to realize that cancer may unite us, but it doesn't OWN us!

I am contacting several hotels to find the best price, location, and overall best fit for our group. I realize it's a long way away, but if anyone feels that they would like to join us, please respond to this post. That way, I can negotiate room rates based on how many will be attending. Ask anyone who has been to a palooza how great they are. It's not a pity party. It's empowering!!!

October 10-14th are the tentative dates.

    My husband and I may be interested in attending. We are in the Memphis area and absolutely love Nashville. The Opryland Hotel is beautiful, but expensive. There are also some nice hotels in Franklin. Look forward to hearing more.

    scouty was talking about a possible interim Palooza between now and then. Also,FYI: Jet Blue has some awsome fares, and they don't show up on Travelocity, etc. bud

    I will pencil you in. I'll be changing that to ink as the time grows near. It will be nice to have a "local" among us!!!

    My husband and I are interested in attending. Nashville is a cheap southwest flight away and the most fun city. It would be great to meet everyone. Keep me posted.
