Brain met
Just writing to ask if anyone here has had an experience with a brain mestatis? After some info for my Dad. He's had the tumour removed (some of it was dead tissue as a result of radio)and is just tired at the moment.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank-you,
Holly

Thanks for that.roperliz said:make sure once hes in remission he is checked with an mri regularly my moms tumors came back in the fluid of the brain and is growing in her lining of her brain she wasnt given an mri.
We are waiting on results of today's M.R.I (given Thursday - can't think about anything else). Then if that's all clear, he will have an M.R.I 3 months after that, then 3 months after that etc. However i'm interested in how regular you mean. THe oncologist told us it's more about how he's feeling, for eg, if he starts to feel dizzy or extra tired, get an M.R.I.
Obviously we are willing to pay for extra M.R.I's but not sure if it works like that.
Anyway, would appreciate your feedback.

my mom was getting a brain scan every 4 months which should have been an mri they show alot more. every three to 4 months unless strange things happen my mom went deaf and they said it was from previous treatment to the brain but that was a sign the tumors were back and now they are saying they cant do anything always help look for the signs sometimes ppl put too much faith in the drs.Holly3 said:Thanks for that.

Thanks for that. They have said that they will be M.R.Is which i know find things as little as 5mm. But as you said, trusting how you're feeling is one of the most important things.roperliz said:my mom was getting a brain scan every 4 months which should have been an mri they show alot more. every three to 4 months unless strange things happen my mom went deaf and they said it was from previous treatment to the brain but that was a sign the tumors were back and now they are saying they cant do anything always help look for the signs sometimes ppl put too much faith in the drs.
