DR. VISIT

Well, my doctor visit yesterday proved to be successful AND hopeful. My CA125 has stablized these last two months at 10 (was 8 during my 6 rounds of chemo). The HIDA scan showed NO gall stones. The CT scan showed NO blood clot in the gonadal vein and NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE! I must admit I still have a few aches and pains that will always haunt me, but as I mentioned to Collins, it just means I need to continue to be aware of my body, changes, issues, etc. I will go in February for another CT and follow-up with the oncologist then. I will continue monthly CA125 tests, and as all of you know that means I'll be holding my breath every month till I get those results.
Oh well, I certainly thank the Lord for His mercies yesterday and always. I continue to pray for all of you and ask that no matter what we must endure that He will be our strength and peace in EVERYTHING.

Monika, congratulations on such wonderful news! I can only imagine how nervous you were about all of your tests, and then to get all good news and NED!!!! My first CA-125 after going off chemo is coming up soon, and I'm already very nervous, but trying not to think about it too much. I couldn't be happier for you! Your friend, MM0
