Hello to all,
well I do not post a great deal lately, bud read very faithfully EVERY day, and share each of your hardaches, tears, and joys. I am sitting here today thinking how great it is to be celebrating Halloween with my husband this year. You see, last year we had just been giving the dreadfull news that he had cancer, and being uneducated as many people are when they are first told this, we were struggling to deal with our daily lives. I recall how hard it was to be excited with our kids on this day last year, but we put on a good front! We have been through so many ups and downs this past year, including our own relationship, but how great it is to say today that things are actually better than they ever have been. Boy can cancer do a number on you, but it sure can make you stronger in the end. My husband is my hero, and when we have these special days that we spend with our families and see our kids so happy it just reminds me how hard he has fought to be here, the hell he has been through and the way I feel when I can say to people "yup, thats my husband", who by the way is NED!!! As many people have stated in many posts, this site is wonderful, the information is beyond belief, and the kind words that we have received in the past are ones that will stay with us forever. Well, I must go now to do last minute sew jobs on some costumes, so "Happy Halloween" to all, and Thanks for being such great people!!

I just want to say thanks Sylvia. Even though I was dx last year at Christmas time I have been caught up in the "running" around that the coming holidays bring. This has set me down to earth and reminded me how precious my kids are. I have to remember every day to cherish what I have. Happy Halloween to you too! And many more for all of us.

Hi Sylvia.Read my post above. It takes a very special character to cope with what cancer throws at us and it is almost impossible for those on the outside "looking in" to understand what we go thru. For you to be able to post, even if only occassionally,is worth every moment for us all to read.We all have a story to tell and we try to grasp each one in it's context.Out of all the sadness we see at times comes the knowledge that we do also see uplifting topics that help us all cope.ron50 said:Hi Sylvia,

Sylvia,
Yes, It IS a grand day. You must be on the same wavelength as me....this time last year, I was recovering from my surgery following a bowel obstruction, and was starting the chemo for the breast cancer....and waiting to lose my hair. NED has such a great ring to it, doesn't it?
I agree that you are a true angel....the beast is an expert at attempting to ruin relationships...you are a great lady to see past it's smokescreens!!!
oh yeah, and....
YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA .....
Naked happy dance!!!!!! NED!!!!!
Hugs, Kathi0
