METS AFTER 1 YEAR?
I'm not too familiar with the specifics of his situation 1 year ago (I know he had surgery and chemo), but just curious if anyone has had experience with this type of report.
Thank you so much for your response. I continue to pray for all of you, especially on this day - two years since I lost my Mom to colon cancer.
Thank you - hugs and prayers.

Hi Monika,
I'm so sorry that your friends husband is again having to fight this beast. The only thing I can help with is possibly the throat. My dad had prostrate cancer and CLL. He had a lymph node in his throat pressing on his voicebox. It made his voice scratchy. Praying for your friend that they find out what is going on. I would also be worried about the spleen/kidney. I wonder why the onc isn't?? Are they just checking on the worst things first? Keep us informed and HUGS to you. I seem to be still counting the days since my dad died. It will be 2 months Nov. 8th.

Aw, Monika.....hugs to you for your mom. The beast is such a terror!!!!
I am 1 1/2 years clean from rectal cancer...so I am not a good indicator..but...I still feel the occasional canceritis attack. Good for your friend that they are taking this whole thing so seriously!!! The earlier the beast is found out, the faster it is vanquished!!!! Away, beast, Away!!!
Hugs, Kathi0 -
Hey Monica,
I know canceritis (Kathy's post) quite well...I have been to my ENT twice. I feel a little 'something' in the back of my mouth/throat; he finally explained that a virus could have taken hold during chemo...I am holdin' onto that!
I am so sorry for your friend's PET scan results. I hear funny things about them, though -- false positives...Also, docs (oncs) are pretty good about speaking of the normal progressions -- what goes where -- of cancers...Well, we hope they are. All the best to your friend and her husband. I wish them the best. Take care - Maura0 -
