Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate your support, and yes, I finally figured out how to navigate this network..Still working on getting pictures on my personal web page. I also realized that SpongeBob is one cool dude and has great sense of humor. Anyhow, I told my older sister about this Network and she just signed on tonight. Be looking for her post-VanitaO. I told how great it was to talk to you all, and how wonderful you all are. I am leaving town tomorrow to go to my mom's for 4-5 days. She is doing another treatment and so far I have been there for every one. God willing I will be able to make all of them. She really needs the support of her girls. My older sister will be meeting me there. She and my younger sister take turns coming. I am very thankful that I have such a great family. And, I am soooooooo thankful that I have found all of you. When I read your messages, I feel supported, encouraged, hopeful, and strong. I really mean that-you guys have done that for me. I hope that in the near future I will be able to do the same for all of you and others. You all have been such a great help to me. Please pray for my mom. She will be doing a treatment on Monday, a PET Scan on Thursday and we will get the results of the scan on next Monday. We pray that her new treatments are working. I am going to try and log on while at my mom and dad's house so that they can read all of your messages. I truly believe it would make a difference to my mom if she could see all the SURVIVORS that are out there battling this disease. Once again, thank you all for all of the support, advise, and good wishes. I will keep you all in my prayers. Talk to you soon.

This is not an easy battle and that's why we sometimes can fight it better with support. Let us know how your Mom is doing.
You'll be in our thoughts and prayers.
Kerry
First let me say what a wonderful Family you have, and also to welcome you and your sisters to the board .
Know that our thoughts and Prayers are going out to your Mom . Maybe when She is feeling better you can get her to come on . So we can meet her.
Please keep us all posted
Take Care and God Bless

Yup, you are a member of OUR family now, TOO! We are warriors against the beast, but if you read some of the personal pages, some of the stories are darnright miraculous!
I was talking to a gal last night who said "Cancer is a very isolating disease...many people don't call because they are worried about disturbing us". That is what you will find so good about this site, we are here all the time (also, many of us---who, me?---are already disturbed....hehehehehe). Also be sure to check out the chat rooms (in the middle of your start page...there are 2). All sorts of cancer survivors are there, and the spirit is the same!!!!
Your mom is so fortunate to have you by her side!

Valerie,
The best thing you did was come to this site for support. You will find many knowledgeable people who can answer lots of questions and just be there to support you. Yes, this is a very scary and stressful time for you and your family, but have faith that things will work out. My dad was diagnosed in Dec., 05 so I know what you are going through. Your mom is so lucky to have you and your sisters by her side. You and your family are definitely in my prayers.
God bless,
