Hi All, as many of you know I was stageII that turned stage IV when it came back outside of my colon. I did Chemo (Folfox) and went NED. Now that beast must be fought again. I am going in Friday morning for a liver resection, colon resection, removal of my left kidney and Ureter blah blah blah. My surgeons are going in aggressive since I am still young (yes 45 is still young) and it gives my best chance. I am usually quite a positive thinker but have to admit I am a bit shaken tonight. I know the fight and faith are in me but I am struggling to surface it. I am going in armed. I bought the book Spontaneous healing and a cancer battle plan sourcebook and plan to come out with a new attitude and a game plan on a brand new diet. I appreciate your "cut out that beast thoughts this Friday.

Oh, my dear... I wish you all the best for the surgery; may it be successful and the recovery easy and quick. Do they have to take a kidney and urether out? Isn't it too much in one surgery?
I am very impressed by your attitude and I think it will help you. I hope your family will take good care of you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.0 -
Mark,
My biggest strongest vibes will be with you on Friday! I am constantly amazed that the body can handle so much....I left the OR without my rectum, sig colon, uterus, tubes, and ovaries. I felt like saying "So, why didn't you take the appendix while you were in there?", but refrained.
I am doing very well, 1.5 years post surgery...I send the same to you!!!!
Hugs, Kathi0 -
Dear Mark, Attitude is everything. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

P.S. 45 IS still young---so is 47!0 -
Best Wishes Mark! I had about a 1/3 of my liver re-sected in january of this year. It was much easier than I thought it was going to be. I know that you are more than just a liver re-section, but I hope that yours goes just as smoothly.
Enjoy the good drugs!! Just kidding. Actually, fo only the liver re-section, I really didn't need a lot of pain meds other than the epidural for a couple days.
Take care, you'll be in our thoughts and prayers,

Mark,
You are a strong person who can get this! A minor setback is all this is. We all have you in our thoughts and prayers during our Palooza. I am a firm believer in strength in numbers, and with all of us on your side, you cannot go wrong.
We'll plan on seeing you at our next Palooza....it will be when we celebrate this milestone in your battle!
Hugs,

Hi Mark:
As a fellow Stage IIer I am definitely rooting for you!!!
I love the Spontaneous Healing book, it gave me so much hope and peace in the beginning.
Best of luck on your surgery. Think of it as a way to lose some weight really fast
Keep us posted on how you're doing!
Cheers,
Ying0
